Weirdly Coincidental History

It strikes me as odd, the correlations between today's stock market gyrations, the prolonged record heat and drought in the Midwest, and the circumstances that were unfolding just prior to the Great Depression in our nations history. Weird. Coincidence.

Been reading up on history surrounding the great depression - no particular reason I guess other than having watched one of my favorite movies, Seabiscuit (by one of the few folks in this industry that I actually look up to, Gary Ross).
